Terms of use

1. Provider and scope

Fundi Expenses (“Fundi”, “the service”) is provided by Tran Minh Quan, Via Zurigo 9, 6900 Lugano, Schweiz, tranminhquan29052008@gmail.com (“we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Fundi on the web, in the Fundi app for iPhone and iPad, or as an app installed from the browser.

Fundi helps you record your income, spending, savings and assets, and plan a budget month by month. It is not a bank or an e-wallet: it holds no money, connects to no bank account and makes no transactions for you.

If you use the iPhone or iPad app, you downloaded it from Apple's App Store. These terms are between you and us only, not Apple: Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to maintain or support it — questions go to us. You may use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store's usage rules allow. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

2. How the agreement is made

The agreement is made when you create an account and tick that you accept these terms and the privacy policy below. We keep a record of which version you accepted and when.

These documents are available in Vietnamese, English, German, French and Italian. Every version is dated and can be read on this page at any time.

3. Your account

You need to be 16 or older, or have a parent's or guardian's consent.

Use accurate details and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account; if you think someone else has signed in, change your password and sign out other devices in Settings → Security.

4. Basic and Diamond

Basic is free, with the limits shown in the app. Diamond unlocks more features. It is bought in the iPhone and iPad app through Apple's App Store — as a monthly or yearly subscription, or once for lifetime — and the App Store shows the price, in your currency with taxes included, before you confirm.

Apple takes the payment. Subscriptions start with a free week for first-time subscribers, then renew automatically every month or year at the same price unless you turn off automatic renewal at least 24 hours before the current period (or the free week) ends, in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Diamond stays until the end of the period already paid for.

The yearly and lifetime plans can be shared with up to five family members through Apple's Family Sharing (the monthly plan cannot); each of them uses their own Fundi account. Diamond belongs to the Fundi account it was bought or shared into, so it opens on the web too.

Diamond bought earlier by bank transfer, or given by us, stays valid until its end date.

“Lifetime” means for as long as Fundi is operated. If the service is discontinued, you will be told at least 3 months in advance and can export all your data.

5. Refunds

Purchases made through the App Store are refunded by Apple under its own terms — ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. When Apple refunds a purchase, the Diamond it paid for ends.

Diamond bought from us by bank transfer can still be refunded in full within 14 days of being switched on, without giving a reason: ask through Settings → Report a problem (choose “Payment”) or by email at the top of this page, and we refund by bank transfer within 14 days.

Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under the law of your country, including the 14-day right of withdrawal of consumers in the European Union.

6. Not financial advice

The figures, forecasts, budget suggestions and AI assistant answers in Fundi are for your information only. The AI assistant's answers are generated by a machine and may be wrong. None of it replaces advice from a financial, tax or legal professional; decisions about your money are yours.

7. Fair use

Don't use Fundi for anything unlawful, don't try to reach other people's accounts or data, and don't overload or disrupt the service. In a shared house, what you record is visible to its other members — be respectful of them.

8. Your data

The data you enter is yours. You allow us to store and process it only to provide the service to you, as the privacy policy describes. You can download a copy of it or delete your account at any time in Settings.

9. How the service runs

We work to keep Fundi running smoothly but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors: it may be interrupted for maintenance or by faults, and features may change. If a Diamond feature you paid for is removed, you will be told in advance and can ask for a refund for the remaining time.

Export your data now and then (Settings → Your data) to keep a copy of your own.

10. Liability

We are liable as the law provides. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit or financial decisions you make based on the app.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any right that the consumer protection law of the country where you live does not allow to be limited.

11. Suspension and ending

You can stop using Fundi and delete your account at any time (Settings → Danger zone).

We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaks these terms, after telling you why — unless the law or other people's safety prevents telling you first. If we end the service for you through no fault of yours, the Diamond payment for the remaining time is refunded.

12. Intellectual property

The Fundi software, design, name and logo belong to Tran Minh Quan. You may not copy, distribute or exploit them without written permission.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the service or the law changes. Important changes are announced in the app at least 30 days before they take effect, and you will be asked to accept them again. If you don't accept them, you can delete your account, and the Diamond payment for the remaining time is refunded.

Corrections and clarifications that don't change your rights or obligations take effect when they are posted.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you habitually live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first — by email at the top of this page or through Settings → Report a problem; we reply within 30 days. Consumers in Vietnam may also ask a consumer protection organisation for help.
